PSPIT

Psychologists Supporting Psychologists in Training is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in the Commonwealth of Virginia whose mission is to connect Clinical and Counseling Psychology graduate students experiencing barriers to counseling services with psychologists willing to see graduate students pro bono. We maintain a directory that helps connect psychologists in Virginia volunteering pro bono services with Clinical and Counseling Doctoral students (Ph.D., PsyD) students experiencing barriers to counseling.

Being a pro bono provider is flexible! Pro bono providers set their own therapy length. Here are some options:

  • 12 sessions per graduate student
  • 3-6 months per graduate student
  • Re-evaluate every quarter based on progress and specific goals
  • Indefinitely

* You can take a break in between graduate students. Any hours you can donate are greatly appreciated!
